I Found my Calling
As a mom of three, I spent years at PTA meetings, Thanksgiving luncheons, and holiday celebrations! When my youngest graduated from elementary school, I knew it was time for me to find a new purpose and, through my church, I started volunteering at a local nursing home. I was in awe of the Greatest Generation of men and women, and knew I found my calling.
During this time, my dad, a Korean War veteran, became sick. I spent many sleepless nights on rehab center chairs and hospital room floors so I could stay by my dad’s side. I realized that he needed an advocate at all times because the care he received was unacceptable. My dad was a gentle soul and never wanted to bother anyone, and so he never asked for the care he deserved. The day he passed I vowed to make sure that the elderly would enjoy their final years, with respect, compassion, and a lot of love and fun.
Welcome to Evermore, where YOU mean the world to me and our amazing staff.
