Searching for the right fit? Have questions?

We have been collecting the most common questions others have asked and want to share them with you.  We hope this provides additional detail and clarity.

Assisted living is for individuals who only need help with activities such as personal care, medications, meal preparation, and other normal household chores.

Nursing homes provide the above plus onsite full-time medical care.

Both.  Our staff is trained and licensed for both assisted living and memory care.  Why?  According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 70% of people in care homes may have the onset of dementia or memory loss.  This is why we feel it is important to have expert staff to help with both needs.

Yes, if we have a vacant room.  We will take care of your loved one while you take that overdue vacation or just need a break from being a caregiver.

Our philosophy is to provide an all-in monthly rental fee allowing you to have stable, predictable monthly costs, as opposed to a base rate model which will continue to increase as the level of care needed for your loved one increases.

Most everything.  Three meals a day with snacks, housekeeping, laundry, towels/linens, incontinence supplies, help with ADLs (such as showering, dressing, grooming, assistance with eating), activities, events, and more.

Additionally, there's no requirement for a long-term lease agreement. We offer a month-to-month rental term.

We provide three meals a day like the other facilities, but that’s where the similarities stop.  Remember, this is a residential home.  No need to travel long distances, downstairs or use an elevator to go to a cafeteria.  Just walk to the kitchen or ask the caregiver for a snack or beverage at any time.

We employ a dietician and chef to ensure we provide healthy and delicious meals and snacks.

Dietary requirements or restrictions such as gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc. can easily be accommodated by our chef.

We coordinate activities based on our residents’ requests, interests and needs.  This includes specially designed (and fun) activities to keep the mind sharp and the body limber.  We plan to incorporate card games, movies, guest entertainers, speakers, and exercise routines into daily life.  We will listen to the residents and bring them into the planning of activities.

No, Medicare does not cover the cost of assisted living services.  Download our Financing Senior Living Guide.

We have a partnership and have negotiated good rates with a local moving company that can assist with the move.

Yes, we can provide all furniture for your master suite.  This includes a double bed, side table, chair, TV with cable service and dresser.

Alternatively,  your loved one can bring in their own furniture if they prefer.  They are welcome to furnish their own room.

Schedule a visit and let her see the home and meet the other residents and staff.  They will be pleased to see how much independence and freedom they will have while at Evermore.

If a room is available, schedule a respite weekend and let her experience it all for herself.

If she has close friends and she’s afraid of losing touch with them, assure her that they can visit anytime, just like they do now.  Additionally, we provide video chat tools they can use anytime.

Each resident will have an emergency call system on them personally as well as in their bathroom that is monitored 24X7.  We have caregivers on site at all times that are trained to respond to emergencies.

Our state-of-the-art sprinkler and security systems provide an extra level of safety.

We consider our residents family, not a patient in a facility.  We encourage family and friends to come and visit their loved ones at a time that works best for them.  Bring the grand kids and join in on the activities!

Yes.  We have a medication management program that ensures each resident’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP) is followed.  Residents can use their own pharmacy or our preferred pharmacy provider.  Medications are stored in a secured area and given to the residents at the prescribed time.  Detailed records are also kept on file.

While this is not a standard service, it can be brought in as needed by the family or you can work with one of our partners.

4:1 during the day with a caregiver at night.  This is one of the biggest benefits of our residential model.  Your loved one gets a lot more 1:1 care and the care is more tailored to their needs and desires.  The larger, institutional facilities simply cannot match this ratio or provide the amount of 1:1 care.

I Am Interested. Where Do I Start?

The first step is to schedule a visit.  This can be done by calling (703) 249-9128 or by completing our contact form HERE.

We will gather some basic information about your loved one prior to you visit to make sure we address all of his/her needs.

NOTE:  While under construction, we can still discuss your needs and even meet onsite to tour the home.  This is recommended as we anticipate having most of the rooms reserved prior to opening.
