Evermore Senior Living: Our “Why”

A couple years ago, my wife and I started looking around for an assisted living home for her father. My in-laws lived in New Jersey, about a 4-hour drive away from us. My mother-in-law was in great health, but was having a harder time being a full-time caregiver for her husband.

It was time to look at other options.

We quickly found that my father-in-law did not want to live in a large facility. As he stated that he lived in a single family home his whole life – he didn’t want anything to do with a large, condo-looking building.

Through research, I discovered there were residential homes that offered assisted living. I was excited to visit a few of them in my area and find that great place for dad. I couldn’t have been more surprised by what I found. The homes were dirty, smelly and not well maintained. The caregivers simply put the residents in recliners and turned the TV on. One home was actually proud of the fact they provided the residents a few fast food meals for lunches and a pizza each week.

Now I love pizza and unfortunately have to get fast food on occasion when driving to Field Hockey tournaments in Virginia Beach or Pennsylvania for our daughters, but the thought of providing it every week and being proud of it disturbed me.

To be honest, I would not put anyone in those homes.

That’s when the light bulb went off. I have been in real estate for years with side investments and rental properties. I knew I could provide a great home, one that I would be proud to put my folks or in-laws into.

After 6 months of research and building a network of the leaders in the residential assisted living market, I put together my plan to build the best, most advanced residential assisted living and memory care home in the nation.

From specialized flooring, to lighting and unmatched amenities like a hair/nail salon, spa and full-time chef, our facility is like no other. You can get more details on our safety features and amenities on our website (www.evermoreseniorliving.com).
